UI/UX Designer II

Job Description

As a Product Designer at RealPage, you will play a pivotal role at the intersection of user experience, product strategy, and development. You will be responsible for designing intuitive, user-centered solutions that address the needs of landlords and tenants, ensuring seamless interactions across our platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, UX researchers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into compelling design solutions. Your work will influence the entire product lifecycle—from discovery and ideation to development, pilot testing, and release—helping us deliver impactful features that drive customer satisfaction and business success. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong facilitation skills, a passion for storytelling through design, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

• Completion of UX coursework through degrees, certificates, bootcamps, or online courses
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in UX, design, architecture, or related fields
• Strong portfolio demonstrating human-centered storytelling, problem-solving, wireframing, prototyping, and success metrics
• Proficiency in designing for agile environments and applying user-centered design thinking
• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills to collaborate across cross-functional teams
• Ability to synthesize discovery insights into actionable design and development tasks
• Comfort in iterative design processes and presenting work to stakeholders at all levels, including executives
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and visual communication skills
• Detail-oriented with effective time management to meet deadlines
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for experimentation and learning
  

Responsibilities

• Utilize personas and storytelling techniques to articulate user problems and solutions effectively
• Extract and prioritize requirements from customer pain points and business needs
• Lead user, customer, and SME interviews to gather insights and validate assumptions
• Document workflows, existing processes, and pain points to inform design decisions
• Synthesize discovery findings to define actionable scope and prioritize features
• Employ user-centered design thinking to develop innovative solutions for product and user challenges
• Create detailed workflow diagrams and functional specifications for engineering teams
• Propose a range of design solutions and sequence releases to optimize product delivery timelines
• Establish and monitor success metrics to evaluate the impact of design solutions
• Lead the product design lifecycle, including pilot planning and go-to-market strategies
• Collaborate with product managers to align on design solutions and support discovery efforts
• Work closely with engineering and QA teams to communicate workflows and ensure quality standards
• Adhere to and contribute to design standards, providing feedback for system evolution
• Partner with UX researchers in ongoing discovery activities to inform design iterations
• Develop and track success metrics to measure adoption and validate solutions
• Participate in the Product Design Center of Excellence, seeking mentorship and growth opportunities
