Technical Delivery Lead

Your new role

As the Technical Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering an enterprise-grade data governance solution using open-source technologies. Working closely with senior stakeholders across architecture, technology and data teams, you will define the technical roadmap, establish solution designs and lead the implementation of a scalable governance platform.

You will provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions align with architecture standards, security requirements and long-term business objectives. In addition, you will build and mentor a small team of engineers, driving delivery within an agile environment and managing technical risks proactively.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and delivering an end-to-end data governance platform using open-source technologies.
• Defining the technical roadmap and implementation strategy.
• Providing technical leadership and decision-making across Scrum teams.
• Developing solution patterns, architecture designs and implementation standards.
• Leading a team of engineers through design, development and deployment activities.
• Ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
• Managing technical risks and resolving delivery challenges before they impact project outcomes.
• Collaborating with senior business and technology stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Strong hands-on experience in Databricks engineering and solution architecture.
• Experience working within cloud environments, ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Proven track record delivering technology products or platforms end-to-end.
• Open-source software development experience.
• Strong technical engineering background with the ability to move between high-level architecture and detailed solution design.
• Experience leading technical teams and directing engineers through complex delivery initiatives.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in complex and challenging stakeholder environments.
• Strong problem-solving, resilience and leadership capabilities.
