Responsibilities

Build and optimise internal operational processes — SOPs, approvals, vendor management, and procurement
•     Identify and implement automation opportunities within internal operations (leveraging PAIX’s own AI tools)
•     Manage the Junior Account, HR & Ops Executive — coaching and workload management
•     Oversee day-to-day financial operations: AP/AR, bookkeeping, payroll coordination, and cash flow monitoring
•     Prepare and maintain management accounts, monthly reporting packs, and financial dashboards for founders
•     Oversee HR admin: employment contracts, onboarding, leave management, and statutory filings (EPF, SOCSO, PCB)
•     Support the Founder in board-level reporting, investor updates, and due diligence preparation

 What We’re Looking For

•     More than 5 years of experience spanning finance operations, accounting, and/or general operations management
•     Strong foundational accounting knowledge — AP, AR, bookkeeping, management accounts
•     Experience with ERP or accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, SQL Accounting, or equivalent)
•     Proven ability to build and document operational processes from scratch
•     Comfortable managing a small team and working directly with founders
•     High attention to detail with a forward-looking, automation-first mindset

Nice to Have

•     ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification
•     Prior experience in a startup or scale-up preferably (Seed to Series A stage)
•     Exposure to fintech, payments, or regulated industries
•     Familiarity with Malaysian company law, SST, and PDPA
