Job Description

Throughout the traineeship, you will be supported while completing a Certificate III in Information Technology, gaining valuable practical skills and real-world experience in a supportive team environment.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Contribute to the Helpdesk as a first point of contact for Council staff requiring ICT support
  • Assist senior IT staff on projects
  • Setup new desktops and laptops with Council SOE
  • Use applications such as Office 365, Microsoft Exchange Online, MS Teams and other MS365 tools and applications
  • Support AV systems (audio, data projectors etc) in the community Hub for meetings and online collaboration tools, e.g. Zoom, MS Teams
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting and ICT support across multiple Council locations in Maryborough, as needed
  • Genuine interest in the IT industry
  • Able to communicate clearly & be able to articulate professionally with staff
  • Self-motivated, able to display initiative and enjoy working with others
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow up
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Previous experience in a desktop/laptop support role [desirable]
