About You

Council is seeking a highly credible, collaborative and values-driven leader who can demonstrate:

1. Executive Leadership and Organisational Performance – Success in leading a complex, multidisciplinary organisation, developing a high-performing culture and providing strategic oversight of people, workforce planning and organisational capability.
2. Strategic Leadership – The ability to translate Council or Board strategy into organisational priorities, measurable outcomes and sustainable service delivery.
3. Financial and Commercial Management – Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, long-term financial planning, capital expenditure and financial sustainability.
4. Asset Management, Major Projects and Capital Works – Executive-level experience overseeing significant infrastructure and asset portfolios, asset lifecycle planning, major projects and capital works programs.
5. Governance, Risk and Regulatory Leadership – Experience operating within complex governance and regulatory environments and maintaining effective governance, compliance and risk frameworks.
6. Stakeholder Engagement, Advocacy and Political Acumen – The ability to build trusted relationships and effectively communicate, advocate and negotiate with elected members, community, industry and government.
7. Economic and Community Development – Experience identifying and progressing strategic opportunities, partnerships and investment that contribute to sustainable economic and community outcomes.
