Job Description
Throughout the traineeship, you will be supported while completing a Certificate III in Information Technology, gaining valuable practical skills and real-world experience in a supportive team environment.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Contribute to the Helpdesk as a first point of contact for Council staff requiring ICT support
- Assist senior IT staff on projects
- Setup new desktops and laptops with Council SOE
- Use applications such as Office 365, Microsoft Exchange Online, MS Teams and other MS365 tools and applications
- Support AV systems (audio, data projectors etc) in the community Hub for meetings and online collaboration tools, e.g. Zoom, MS Teams
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and ICT support across multiple Council locations in Maryborough, as needed
- Genuine interest in the IT industry
- Able to communicate clearly & be able to articulate professionally with staff
- Self-motivated, able to display initiative and enjoy working with others
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow up
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Previous experience in a desktop/laptop support role [desirable]
