About the Web Designer

Key responsibilities:

• Develop responsive screen layouts and UI components for browser-based environments
• Translate functional requirements into wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity web interface designs
• Design user flows and interaction patterns to support web-based application functionality and navigation
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation of interface designs within HTML, CSS and JavaScript environments
• Apply web usability and accessibility principles to optimise interface performance and user experience
• Conduct usability testing and refine web interfaces based on user feedback and behavioural insights
• Maintain and enhance design systems, UI component libraries and style guides
• Manage and deliver multiple design projects simultaneously

You will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Design or a related field
• At least three years’ experience in web application and interface design
• Demonstrated expertise in visual design software (Figma preferred)
• Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript to support implementation of web interface designs
• Proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, user flows and high-fidelity interface mock-ups
• Strong understanding of web-based architecture, responsive design and usability principles
• Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems and UI component libraries
• A portfolio demonstrating web-based interface and user experience design solutions
• Knowledge of accounting, financial budgeting or reporting systems is advantageous
