UX Engineer

Job Description

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role, ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex UI challenges, shaping front‑end standards, and partnering closely with designers and engineers to translate intent into production‑ready experiences..

Responsibilities:

• 5+ years’ experience as a front-end engineer or UX engineer working on complex web applications.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong experience building and maintaining reusable UI components and design systems.
• Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks and component-based architectures.
• Experience building components using Lit (or similar web component technologies).
• Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience integrating analytics and using data to inform front-end improvements.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated testing (unit and visual regression).
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across design, product, and engineering.
• A systems mindset — able to think beyond individual screens to scalable patterns and platforms.
• Clear communicator with strong documentation habits.
• A growth mindset and a desire to raise the bar for front-end and UX capability across the organisation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a front-end software engineer
• Expert proficiency in front-end languages: JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, component libraries, and web components (desirable)
• Good understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
• Expertise in UI component design
• Experience using and integrating component libraries
• Experience with building components using Lit
• Experience with source control management systems including Git and continuous integration/deployment environments
• Experience with automated unit testing
• Strong documentation skills
