About You
We’re looking for someone who is motivated to learn, grow their skills, and take the next step in their career in technology with the ABC. If you’re not currently studying or working towards a qualification, we can provide training as part of this role.
You don’t need to know everything already. This role is about your curiosity, potential, and willingness to learn, with support provided along the way.
We’d like you to have:
- Experience building software, using one or more programming languages or tools – and a willingness to learn how existing systems work with guidance.
- A good understanding of common development tools, such as version control and task‑tracking tools, or a strong interest in learning how to use them.
- The ability to share ideas, ask questions, and communicate clearly as part of a team.
- The ability to plan your work, manage time, and prioritise tasks.
- A thoughtful and practical approach to solving problems.
You also bring lived experience and a strong understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities and you are committed to working in ways that are culturally safe, respectful, and focused on community.
