Your new role

• Set up, assemble and customise assistance devices, seating solutions and pressure management devices
• Construct, fit and adjust equipment to meet individual patient and clinical requirements
• Perform fault-finding, repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance on light mechanical and electrical equipment
• Conduct safety checks and quality assurance in line with hospital, manufacturer and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to equipment servicing and compliance
• Work collaboratively with clinicians and engage respectfully with patients as required.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Relevant post-secondary qualification at AQF Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical, engineering or related discipline
• Demonstrated competence and experience in:
  • Construction and assembly
  • Fitting and adjustment
  • Fault-finding and repair
  • Safety checking and quality assurance of light mechanical and electrical equipment
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational and negotiation skills
