Technical Business Analyst

Your new role

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a critical role acting as the interface between business stakeholders, construction partners, architects, and technical delivery teams. You will be responsible for capturing, translating, and managing complex business and technical requirements to support IT infrastructure, digital platforms, and systems integration across capital works projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Capturing, analysing, validating, and documenting business and technical requirements across IT, AV, cybersecurity, academic, and operational domains
Translating business needs into clear functional and non‑functional technical requirements
Facilitating workshops and stakeholder sessions to define and refine requirements
Working closely with solution architects, network engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and vendors
Supporting technical scopes of work, specifications, procurement, and delivery activities
Maintaining requirements traceability throughout design, build, testing, and handover
Supporting testing activities including system integration testing and UAT
Contributing to operational readiness and transition to BAU
Identifying and managing requirement‑related risks, issues, and dependencies

What you’ll need to succeed

Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst working across IT infrastructure, systems integration, or nanobiotechnology projects
Experience in construction‑led or capital works environments will be highly regarded
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity principles
Demonstrated ability to translate complex business and technical needs into structured requirements
Experience supporting solution design, procurement, testing, and commissioning
Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
Strong documentation, analytical, and problem‑solving capability
Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience)
