Job Description

What you’ll do

• Administer and maintain our virtualization environment (Proxmox)
• Own backup administration and disaster recovery using Veeam and/or Proxmox Backup Server, including regularly verifying that restores work as expected
• Assist with managing company endpoints through Microsoft Intune (MDM), including device provisioning, configuration, and patch/update management across Windows and macOS
• Perform general Linux and Windows system administration, keeping servers and services healthy, secure, and up to date
• Support users with a variety of IT requests – from access management and devices to day-to-day technical issues
• Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure, changes, and procedures, while providing responsive support to colleagues across multiple offices

What we’re looking for

• Virtualization experience – hands-on experience with hypervisors or virtualization platforms. Experience with Proxmox is an excellent match, but candidates with experience in other virtualization platforms are also encouraged to apply
• Cloud infrastructure – some experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Hetzner Cloud, or similar
• Backup administration – understanding of backup and recovery concepts. Experience with Veeam and/or Proxmox Backup Server is highly desirable
• Networking – solid understanding of networking fundamentals
• Linux and Windows Server administration – comfortable working across both operating systems
• Communication – good written and spoken English for working in a distributed team

Nice to have skills

·     Server hardware administration (e.g. Dell PowerEdge)

·     NAS and SAN administration (e.g. Synology, Fujitsu Eternus)

·     Microsoft Intune / MDM experience managing Windows and macOS endpoints

·     Experience with monitoring and logging platforms (e.g. Zabbix, Graylog)

·     Experience with scripting or workflow automation (PowerShell, Bash, n8n, etc.)

·     Experience with Docker or other container technologies
