SQL/ETL Engineer

Job Description

This is a hands-on role, working closely with the asset and application support teams to transform, validate, reconcile, and migrate data while ensuring accuracy, quality, and traceability throughout the migration lifecycle.

The Project

• Large-scale data migration program with multiple downstream target systems
• Source system: Microsoft SQL Server 2016
• Staging environment: MS SQL Server
• Strong focus on data transformation, reconciliation, and data quality management

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with the asset team supporting the existing source system to understand data structures and business rules.
• Design and build data transformation logic using SQL, stored procedures, and staging tables.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures and scripts to manage data extraction, transformation, and export to target systems.
• Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure completeness and accuracy of migrated data.
• Manage receipt, ingestion, and processing of response files from target systems.
• Support ongoing data quality checks, issue resolution, and process improvements throughout the migration.
• Contribute to documentation, data mappings, and migration run-books.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with SQL Server(T-SQL development, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Proven experience delivering data migration projects, ideally involving large or complex datasets.
• Solid understanding of ETL concepts and data transformation workflows.
• Experience working with staging databases and reconciliation processes.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to data quality and validation.
