Software Development Engineer III – Node.js

Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

– Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js

– Own end-to-end development of critical backend modules.

– Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

– Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.

– Design and work with RESTful APIs and microservices.

– Handle high concurrency and real-time systems.

– Collaborate with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams.

– Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews.

– Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

– 4+ years of experience in backend development

– Strong expertise in Node.js (JavaScript / TypeScript)

– Experience with microservices architecture

– Hands-on experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis

– Experience with message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS

– Strong understanding of system design and scalability

– Experience with REST APIs and WebSockets

– Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines

– Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Good to Have :

– Experience in gaming, fintech, or high-traffic systems

– Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or GCP

– Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes

– Understanding of backend security best practices
