Site Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Supervise complete electrical installation work at the project site.
• Read, understand, and execute electrical drawings, layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), and BOQs.
• Execute electrical works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Supervise electricians, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with civil, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting, and other project teams for smooth execution.
• Plan daily work activities and monitor site progress.
• Inspect incoming electrical materials and maintain material consumption records.
• Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), measurement sheets, and work progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and project management during inspections and meetings.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, snag rectification, and project handover.
• Resolve technical and execution-related issues at the site.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical drawings and AutoCAD drawings.
• Experience in electrical site execution and site supervision.
• Knowledge of LT electrical systems, cable laying, conduit work, wiring, lighting systems, earthing, and panel installation.
• Familiarity with testing and commissioning of electrical installations.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple agencies and manage site activities independently.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and basic project documentation.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
