Senior Engineering Manager 

Job Description

Tech Stack :

– Domain : Application Security, Web Application firewalls

– Product technologies like high performance server architecture(s) and optimization, deep packet inspection

– Hands-on experience with high-speed and scalable multi-threaded packet processing frameworks is preferred (DPDK, P4 or similar)

– Deep knowledge of L4-L7 protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/2, TLS 1.3), experience with web security concepts is a plus

– High Level Programming Languages like C, C++

– Identity and Directory Management like LDAP, MS AD, Okta, Auth0

– Automation frameworks like Mabl, Selenium is a plus


What you will be working on :

– Provide people management for a cross-functional product development team.

– People leadership, performance management, coaching, nurturing professional growth of engineers

– Project management, planning, execution, risk and dependency management, schedule adherence

– Process definition and adherence, ensuring quality and timely delivery of features

– Innovative mindset, providing leadership to nurture innovative ideas and create product differentiators

– Out of box thinker, looking at optimizing process and value delivery all the time

– Fast technology adopter, Gen AI and AI centric software development proponent

– Metrics oriented mindset, proactive in measuring the people and project deliverables and endeavor to improve

– Work with CSM (Customer Success Management) team to handle high-touch customers, manage customer expectations and ensure quality of deliverables.

– Partner with product managers to outline roadmaps and communicate updates on progress.

– Participate in software architectural discussions, influencing decisions, and collaborating with peers to maintain consistency across the organization.

– Work with engineers to implement features, debug issues/escalations, prioritize technical debt.

– Cloud & Hybrid Strategy : Manage the deployment of datapath services across diverse environments, including on-prem clusters, Kubernetes (K8s), and public clouds like AWS and Azure.

– Incident Response & Root Cause Analysis : Lead the troubleshooting of complex datapath failures or performance bottlenecks, providing detailed technical guidance to engineering teams.

– Ensure delivered solutions adhere to the software architecture strategy coding standards, security guidelines, and established organizational policies and procedures.

– Identify and champion process and productivity improvement strategies for the team(s).
