Sales Development Representative

Responsibilities

Opportunity Identification

• Research target accounts and buying signals
• Identify strategic initiatives, business challenges, and compelling events
• Build account intelligence profiles using Salesforce, SalesLoft, Seamless AI, GovSpend, and other GTM tools
• Prioritize opportunities based on ICP alignment and market signals

Qualification & Discovery

• Conduct qualification conversations with prospects
• Validate business challenges and strategic initiatives
• Confirm decision makers and key stakeholders
• Identify expected timelines and budget guidance
• Determine opportunity fit against ERPA service offerings

Outbound Prospecting

• Execute targeted outreach campaigns
• Manage account-based prospecting initiatives
• Utilize email, phone, LinkedIn, partner referrals, and marketing engagement
• Develop personalized messaging aligned to prospect challenges

Opportunity Development

• Schedule and coordinate discovery meetings
• Prepare qualification summaries for Account Executives
• Support smooth transition from SQL to Pipeline
• Maintain CRM accuracy and opportunity documentation

Account Intelligence & Research

• Monitor public-sector spend, contract activity, and market events
• Research organizational priorities and technology landscapes
• Identify cross-sell, upsell, and expansion opportunities
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve prospecting effectiveness

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of business development, sales development, account development, recruiting, consulting, or customer-facing experience
• Experience using Salesforce and sales engagement platforms
• Strong research and discovery skills
• Ability to engage executive-level stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in ERP, HCM, Finance, Consulting, Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or SaaS environments preferred
