Reporting Analyst

Job Description

About the Role You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated reporting solutions across Finance, PMO and broader business functions. Working closely with key stakeholders, you will design and deliver dashboards, reports and analytics that support informed decision-making and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and visualisations
• Build automated reporting solutions across Finance and PMO functions
• Develop and optimise SQL queries and data models
• Utilise Power Query, DAX and M language for report development
• Support reporting and analytics within Microsoft Fabric environments
• Deliver executive-level reporting, insights and performance analysis
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance controls
• Collaborate with Finance, PMO, IT and business stakeholders
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting and analytics processes

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Strong Power BI dashboard and report development experience
• Advanced SQL skills
• Experience using Power Query, DAX and M language
• Experience delivering financial, operational or PMO reporting
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience building automated reporting solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical reporting outcomes

Desirable Experience

• Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse or Data Warehouse exposure
• NSW Government experience
• TM1 experience
• PMO, portfolio or program reporting experience
• Grant reporting exposure
• Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Data Analytics or Fabric
