Product Designer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept to delivery, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
• Develop user personas, user flows, and journey maps to understand user needs and pain points.
• Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and concepts effectively.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on designs and improve user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure the successful implementation of design solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in GIS software design and user experience design.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Proven experience (X years) working as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer, preferably in the software industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design process and projects related to GIS software or data visualization.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
• Knowledge of UX research methodologies, including user interviews, usability testing, and persona development.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for GIS technology and a strong interest in solving complex spatial problems through design.
