Your new role

As a Senior Network Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network infrastructure. While the team has historically been heavily involved in data centre work, the next 6 months will focus on broader network engineering initiatives.

You will work across core networking technologies, with a strong emphasis on switching, routing, and wireless environments. This is a hands-on position requiring deep technical expertise and the ability to troubleshoot and optimise network performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting and enhancing enterprise network infrastructure
• Configuring and troubleshooting switching, routing, and wireless networks
• Working with technologies such as ACI
• Contributing to network upgrades and improvement initiatives
• Supporting network monitoring and management activities
• Collaborating with internal teams to deliver network solutions

What you’ll need to succeed

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a network engineering role
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Switching & Routing (essential)
  • Wireless networking (essential)
  • ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure)
• Solid experience within enterprise environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with network management and monitoring tools

Desirable:

• Exposure to Cisco Identity Services (ISE)
• Cisco certifications (beneficial but not required)
• Some exposure to Azure networking or cloud environments
• Data centre networking experience (helpful but not essential)
