Level 1/2 Service Technician

Job Description

Immediately start.

• Transformation Services calls, installing and servicing Apple Laptops, Desktops, and iOS Devices, peripherals and/or electronic equipment

• May perform routine installs, moves, adds and changes as part of a directed team, including:

• Complex desktop and laptop break fix work

• Whole unit replacement
• FRU Parts Replacement

• Load software with a script

• Performs scripted image loading, unit diagnostics and replaceable unit swapping
• Perform troubleshooting by running basic diagnostics and performs basic module replacement on Macs, servers and peripherals

• Performs preventative maintenance activities on certain products as directed

• Maintains a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeaner and dress.
• Ensures customer satisfaction throughout

• Ensures client specific Service Level Agreements are met and incident and request tickets are updated accordingly within the AASP ticketing system

• Performs onsite repairs mainly on laptops at surrounding schools. 

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• High school degree required

• Minimum 1-2 Years of hands-on experience with Apple AASP repairs

• A+ certification a plus

• Apple AASP experience or GSX knowledge is a big plus

• Current Apple Technician Certificate, and Apple skill background are highly desired.

• Basic mechanical skills and understanding of electro static discharge (ESD) procedures

• Training and/or vendor certifications as required including completion of Core Training

• Ability to resolve complex problems as directed

• Excellent communication skills and Good management skills
