Lead Python Engineer

About the job

This is an opportunity to take full ownership of a Python-led platform at an early but established stage, working closely with the founder to shape both the product and the technical direction.

You will be the most senior engineer in the business, combining hands-on Python development with technical leadership and decision-making.

What you will be doing

• Leading the design and development of a Python and Flask backend
• Owning system architecture, scalability, and code quality
• Delivering features hands-on while setting best practices
• Translating product goals into clear, pragmatic technical solutions
• Mentoring and supporting additional engineers over time

Tech stack

• Python with Flask
• MongoDB
• AWS

Nice to have

• Experience with NLP, AI or machine learning systems
• Frontend or full-stack exposure
• Experience working in early-stage or fast-growing environments
