About the Role
Reporting to the Endpoint Systems Team Leader, the Junior IT Support Officer will be responsible for providing Level 1 technical support to internal users and assisting with client-facing IT enquiries. You will play a key role in maintaining the stability of our systems, supporting day to day IT operations, and ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level IT support to internal staff and external clients via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows, Microsoft 365, internal administration systems, hardware, printers, and network connectivity.
- Assist with user account setup and management
- Support onboarding activities, including configuration of new computers, peripherals, and access permissions.
- Escalate complex incidents to senior IT staff or third-party providers where necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of support activities and IT assets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes and client service delivery.
Skills and Experience
- A keen interest in information technology and providing customer-focused support.
- Foundational knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage time effectively.
- Relevant qualification (Certificate IV or Diploma in Information Technology) or currently undertaking IT studies.
