IT Systems & Support Technician

Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Actively oversee and analyze the operation of embedded, computer-controlled industrial systems throughout the day.
2. Instantly respond to automated software alerts and digital system alarms to isolate faults across integrated computer hardware and data logging modules.
3. Resolve complex technical issues occurring within specialized proprietary software configurations and peripheral IT components.
4. Manage, verify, and update software profiles, system parameters, and computer calibration data to guarantee operational accuracy.
5. Maintain precise digital records of system errors, technical configurations, and software performance logs to feed into predictive risk management.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience

1. Diploma, or higher qualification in a highly related IT discipline or agreed substitute
2. Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of professional experience supporting integrated computer networks, automated software platforms, or industrial IT hardware interfaces.
3. Proven experience interpreting real-time software diagnostics, system logs, and bi-directional hardware/software integration.
4. Strong ability to diagnose computing faults rapidly under pressure to minimize production downtime.
5. Excellent communication skills to interface with production engineers.
6. Ability to prioritise, multitask and work independently.
7. A passion for learning and staying ahead of technology trends.
8. Ability to analyse and evaluate complex IT issues.
