Your new role
As a Level 1/2 IT Support Engineer, you will act as the first point of contact for all IT-related queries across the business, supporting end users across hardware, software, and systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing Level 1/2 support across desktops, laptops, and user applications
- Managing onboarding and offboarding processes, including user accounts and device setup
- Troubleshooting issues across Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft technologies
- Supporting business systems and applications used across the organisation
- Managing and maintaining IT hardware, printers, and office infrastructure
- Supporting networking connectivity and liaising with external vendors
- Assisting with IT projects, system improvements, and process optimisation
- This is a hands-on support role with exposure to a broad IT environment, giving you the opportunity to develop beyond traditional support responsibilities over time.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a Level 1/2 IT support role
- Strong experience with Windows 10/11 environments and Windows Server
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory (user/group management, permissions, GPOs)
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 / Exchange environments
- Exposure to IT hardware support including laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
- Experience with networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and basic troubleshooting
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as SCCM or similar
