Job Description

Your new role

As a Level 1/2 IT Support Engineer, you will act as the first point of contact for all IT-related queries across the business, supporting end users across hardware, software, and systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Level 1/2 support across desktops, laptops, and user applications
  • Managing onboarding and offboarding processes, including user accounts and device setup
  • Troubleshooting issues across Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft technologies
  • Supporting business systems and applications used across the organisation
  • Managing and maintaining IT hardware, printers, and office infrastructure
  • Supporting networking connectivity and liaising with external vendors
  • Assisting with IT projects, system improvements, and process optimisation
  • This is a hands-on support role with exposure to a broad IT environment, giving you the opportunity to develop beyond traditional support responsibilities over time.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a Level 1/2 IT support role
  • Strong experience with Windows 10/11 environments and Windows Server
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory (user/group management, permissions, GPOs)
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 / Exchange environments
  • Exposure to IT hardware support including laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Experience with networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and basic troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as SCCM or similar
