Job Type: Contract/ full-time
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Excel Specialist who will serve as the backbone of our data operations, translating raw numbers into actionable business intelligence.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly complex, scalable Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables, and interactive dashboards.
- Write and maintain VBA scripts and macros to automate repetitive data entry, extraction, and report generation processes.
- Clean, validate, and merge large datasets from multiple sources (e.g., CRMs, ERPs, and cloud databases) using Power Query and advanced VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP formulas.
- Build dynamic forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking models to support senior management decisions.
- Review, audit, and troubleshoot existing Excel files to detect and resolve errors in formulas and data mapping.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience specifically focused on data analysis, spreadsheet management, or financial modeling.
- Expert-level mastery of Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, and Power Query).
- Strong, demonstrable experience in creating VBA macros and writing custom scripts.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and top-tier written/verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, strictly managing deadlines while collaborating across African time zones.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, SQL databases, or data visualization principles
