Job Description

The Role

As our Digital UX Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future digital experience for NGS members and employers.

The Digital UX Designer supports NGS Super’s digital transformation program, including the implementation of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Journey Optimiser (AJO). This role is responsible for creating user-centred designs that ensure our web and email experiences are intuitive, accessible, and consistent. Working closely with marketing and technology teams, the position translates requirements into practical UX solutions that meet member and employer needs while aligning with business and regulatory standards.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Experience, you’ll:

  • Design intuitive and accessible digital experiences across web, email and member journeys that support engagement and action
  • Create user-centred designs that simplify complex information and help members better understand their financial future
  • Design personalised experiences and journeys using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Journey Optimiser (AJO)
  • Produce wireframes, user flows, component specifications, prototypes and high-fidelity designs that are ready for development
  • Contribute to the design of end-to-end member and employer journeys across digital touchpoints
  • Define reusable layouts, interaction patterns and components that support scalable and consistent digital experiences
  • Apply UX best practices and accessibility standards to ensure experiences are clear, inclusive and easy to use
  • Collaborate with developers and agency partners to ensure designs are implemented consistently and effectively
  • Contribute to design system standards, templates and documentation that support long-term consistency and reuse.

About you

You’re a passionate UX professional who combines creativity, empathy and problem-solving to design digital experiences that genuinely improve the customer experience.

You understand that great design isn’t just about how something looks. It’s about making information easier to understand, reducing friction and helping people confidently achieve their goals. You’re equally comfortable collaborating with stakeholders, refining concepts with developers and advocating for the end user throughout the design process.

You’ll bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in UX/UI Design, Digital Design, Graphic Design or a related field
  • Experience in UX, digital or product design, including responsive and mobile-first design approaches
  • Strong knowledge of UX/UI principles, human-centred design and accessibility standards
  • Demonstrated experience creating wireframes, user flows, component libraries, prototypes and high-fidelity design assets
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and contemporary UX design tools
  • Experience working with content management systems and template-based digital environments
  • A practical understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS to support effective design handover and implementation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience using AI and automation tools to improve ways of working and delivery outcomes.

You’ll stand out if you also have:

  • Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and/or Adobe Journey Optimiser (AJO)
  • Experience designing email templates, customer journeys or lifecycle communications
  • Exposure to Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system
  • A strong portfolio showcasing UX-led, component-based or template-driven digital experiences
