Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites based on business requirements.
  • Build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch or customize existing ones.
  • Convert Figma, Adobe XD, or PSD designs into responsive WordPress websites.
  • Optimize website performance, page speed, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Ensure websites are mobile-friendly and compatible across all major browsers.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, CRM systems, and marketing tools.
  • Implement website security best practices, backups, and regular updates.
  • Troubleshoot website issues, bugs, and plugin conflicts.
  • Manage website migrations, hosting environments, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, digital marketers, and content teams to improve user experience.
  • Implement SEO best practices, schema markup, and website analytics.
  • Maintain proper documentation and version control using Git.

Required Skills

  • 2–5+ years of experience in WordPress development.
  • Strong proficiency in WordPress, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience developing custom themes and plugins.
  • Knowledge of popular page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
  • Experience with WooCommerce customization and payment gateway integration.
  • Familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Custom Post Types (CPT), and REST APIs.
  • Understanding of website security, caching, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab, and deployment workflows.
  • Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Basic understanding of web hosting, DNS, SSL, cPanel, and Cloudflare.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with headless WordPress, React.js, or Next.js is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with AWS, DigitalOcean, or other cloud hosting platforms.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • WordPress or WooCommerce certifications are a plus.
