Design & Merchandise Associate

Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Support the end-to-end design and product development process for seasonal kidswear collections.
2. Assist in developing design concepts, color palettes, fabric selections, prints, and trims in line with brand guidelines.
3. Create and maintain technical documentation, including tech packs, flat sketches, measurement charts, and product specifications.
4. Coordinate with factories, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely sample development and production updates.
5. Track sampling timelines, approvals, revisions, and delivery schedules to ensure products are developed within target deadlines.
6. Review samples for design accuracy, fit, construction quality, and compliance with brand standards.
7. Ensure all products and samples meet the brand’s non-toxic, child-safe, and quality requirements.
8. Communicate feedback and required revisions to manufacturing partners and follow up on corrective actions.
9. Maintain product development trackers, sample records, and merchandising documentation.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, production, quality, and merchandising, to ensure smooth execution of product launches.
11. Monitor product development milestones and proactively identify and resolve delays or production challenges.
12. Support research on market trends, competitor products, fabrics, and emerging opportunities in the kidswear category.
13. Assist in preparing product presentations, line sheets, and merchandising materials for internal reviews and business needs.
