Job Description

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Data Officer to join Symbion’s National Deals team, on a maximum term basis.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient maintenance of high-volume data used by both internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing and validating data across pricing, contracts, promotions, and product records, while maintaining a strong focus on data quality and integrity. Working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, you will be required to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, sound judgement, and strong prioritisation skills. This role goes beyond data entry, requiring an understanding of the downstream business impact of your work, as well as the ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data processes and operational efficiency.

What you will do:
Accurately process high-volume data maintenance across contracts, promotions, pricing, and product updates within published departmental lead times
Review maintenance requests to ensure accuracy and correct interpretation before and after entry into the ERP system
Achieve and consistently maintain 99% data accuracy across all assigned tasks
Perform same-day quality assurance checks on all completed data entries
Proactively identify and resolve data issues, ensuring no outstanding errors remain
Adhere to departmental SOPs, Service Level Agreements, and ISO 9001:2015 requirements
Support team deadlines and contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
Participate in projects, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives as required
Comply with Symbion policies, EBOS Code of Conduct, and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements

What we are look for:
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Proven experience in data entry or administrative roles within a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically about data rather than simply processing it
Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines
Strong data entry skills with a typing speed of 40 wpm or above
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new and complex systems
Calm, focused, and resilient approach when working under pressure
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
