Job Description

What you’ll be doing

  • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable reporting solutions that drive real value for clients
  • Work closely with the project team to deliver cross-functional data and reporting solutions
  • Contribute across the full project lifecycle analysis, design, build, test and deployment
  • Build trusted relationships with clients as a credible source of guidance on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
  • Manage projects efficiently, keeping to deadlines and budgets without compromising quality

This role suits someone who enjoys a technical challenge, thinks independently, and stays close to what’s new in the Microsoft data stack a chance to build solutions that genuinely change how our clients run their business.
 
What you bring
You’re someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told — comfortable stepping into ambiguity, asking the right questions early, and working through a problem until the client has an answer they can act on. You build trust quickly, whether that’s with a technical peer or a business stakeholder who’s never opened Power BI, and you bring the same level of care to a workshop as you do to the final delivery.

  • Gathers and documents requirements clearly — client interviews, workshops, functional/technical specs, SOWs and estimates
  • Delivers across both agile and waterfall projects
  • Confident designing and running Power BI and Fabric training for end-users
  • Communicates clearly across technical and business audiences, juggling multiple projects at once

Technical capabilities

  • Power BI: deep expertise across Desktop, Service and administration — data models, DAX and Power Query for dynamic reports and dashboards
  • Data modelling: dimensional modelling (Kimball) for scalable, efficient models
  • Data engineering: T-SQL and ETL/ELT experience integrating relational databases, cloud storage and APIs
  • Microsoft Fabric and Azure: working knowledge of Fabric and Azure services (Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Gen2, SQL Database)
