Data Analyst

Job Description

Key responsibilities

1. Collect, process, clean, and validate structured and unstructured datasets from multiple data sources
2. Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support business and investment decision-making
3. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualisations for internal stakeholders
4. Write and optimise queries to extract and manipulate data from databases
5. Assist senior analysts in quantitative analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting
6. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through validation and quality checks
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data-driven insights
8. Support documentation of data processes, methodologies, and analytical outputs

Skills & experience

1. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
2. 3 years of experience at least in a data analyst or similar ICT/Data role
3. Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation
4. Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
5. Solid understanding of data quality, validation principles, and best practices
6. Ability to assist with quantitative analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
9. Experience in financial services or an investment environment is advantageous
10. Minimum Bachelor Degree or Higher (preferably in Information technology/Information systems/Business or Data Analytics)
