Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop seasonal concepts, themes and mood boards
  • Lead print and fabric design (all-over prints)
  • Must have demonstrated experience in print design creation with proven ability to develop original all-over prints for textile applications.
  • Guide apparel, bedding, knitwear and product direction
  • Translate concepts into clear briefs for designers and manufacturers
  • Oversee design flow from idea to production
  • Ensure consistency across all product categories
  • Collaborate with team and external designers


Qualifications and experience

  • Degree in Fashion design – or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in women’s apparel and bedding design
  • You’ve worked with sustainable materials and have a genuine interest in ethical production
  • Strong technical background in fabric construction, dyeing and finishing
  • Strong understanding of garment construction and technical specifications
  • Knowledge of Australian / Global standards for textile products
  • Demonstrated experience with hand-drawn, technical drawn, print repeat, placement print, design artwork
  • You’re confident presenting your ideas, taking feedback, and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating with international suppliers in India, Bali and China.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience as a Creative Director or similar senior creative role.
  • Essential fashion, textile, or lifestyle brand experience required.
  • Experience of and desire to use sustainable materials and ethical production methods

Technical Skills and Experience

  • Proficient Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and other systems or applications that provide efficiencies in design and production
  • Tech Pack creation (desirable not essential)
  • Project Management
