Job Description

Responsibilities

• Business P&L: Take full accountability for local revenue, loan disbursement volume, conversion rates, and ROI.
• Product & Ops: Adapt the existing “Zero Down Payment” installment model to fit the Malaysian market; design local credit assessment and collection SOPs.
• Market Strategy: Lead channel development and offline merchant partnership acquisition (focus: 3C retail, electronics).
• Cross-Functional: Bridge the gap between local execution and the Chinese HQ Product & Tech teams.
• Compliance: Ensure operations comply with Malaysian lending regulations and KYC/AML standards.

Who We Are Looking For

A Business Operator, not an IT Manager. We are looking for:

• Industry Experience: Must have experience in Consumer Lending, BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later), or 3C Installment Plans.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant commercial/fintech experience, with at least 2 years in a senior management role.
• Local Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of Malaysian consumer behavior and regulatory frameworks (e.g., AEON Credit, Atome, GrabFin, or similar ecosystems).
• Language: Fluent in English (work) and Mandarin (to communicate with the China HQ team).
• Geographic Flexibility: Willing to be based in KL. Relocation support provided.
