Cloud Operations Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cloud Operations Technician (Entry-Level) to support day-to-day cloud infrastructure operations. This role is ideal for individuals at the beginning of their careers who are interested in cloud technologies and want to gain hands-on experience in maintaining cloud environments and ensuring system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Assist in deploying, configuring, and managing cloud-based applications
• Support incident management and troubleshooting for cloud-related issues
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and resource utilization
• Assist in implementing security best practices and access controls
• Work with senior engineers to support cloud migrations and deployments
• Maintain documentation for cloud environments and operational procedures
• Respond to alerts and support ticket resolution in a timely manner
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development and IT support

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent knowledge)
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IP, DNS, VPN)
• Understanding of operating systems (Linux and/or Windows)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or academic project experience in cloud or system administration
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Exposure to DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
• Entry-level certifications such as:
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
• Google Associate Cloud Engineer
