Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality end user support on a range of systems and technologies.
- Assist with the maintenance of the organisation’s desktop and mobile hardware, software and associated peripherals.
- Install, test and implement hardware and software upgrades as directed.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Service Desk documentation, policies and procedures.
- Assist with the recording and maintenance of IT asset information.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Technology Services Department through actively and proactively recommending improvements in process, procedure and organisation.
- Carry out other duties commensurate with skills and abilities as deemed reasonable and appropriate to the role as directed from time to time.
- Risk Management – Accountable for the implementation and maintenance of sound risk management within the areas of responsibility and in accordance Wyndham’s Risk Management Policy.
Create an environment where managing risk is accepted as the personal responsibility of each employee.
Specialist Skills and Knowledge:
- Good user support skills.
- Good knowledge of PC and peripheral hardware.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows end user computing environments, Microsoft 365 and general software and applications.
- Knowledge of general networking concepts.
- Good research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of the role and function of Senior IT Support staff, of the long-term goals of the unit and of the goals of the wider organisation.
- Understand relevant policies, regulations and precedent
