Art Director

Job Description

As an Art Director working for Kmart you will:

Conceptualise, present and execute creative campaigns that align with the Kmart brand and respond to business briefs

CCollaborate with internal teams (Marketing, PR, Merchandise) to develop digital executions (catalogues, email, social, out of home and more) and print (in-store POS, bespoke PR event collateral) that delivers impact

Partner with agency teams, photographers, stylists, talent and producers to create and ensure output is cohesive, on-brand and on-brief

Use Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) to design, present, and produce creative assets across multiple channels

Have a diverse scope of work across fashion, home, beauty, toys and event

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

A creative mindset with the ability to think strategically, solve problems and translate briefs into retail forward, customer-centric ideas

A strong understanding of content across digital platforms, particularly how to tailor creative for specific social and e-commerce channels

Expertise in art direction (including on photography sets), with experience briefing and working closely with copywriters, finished artists, producers, stylists and photographers

The ability to balance big-picture conceptual thinking with a sharp eye for design and detail

Excellent written, verbal and visual presentation skills

Experience in advertising or retail environments

Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

A collaborative nature and ability to stakeholder manage and build strong working relationships across teams

A hands-on approach and ownership mindset—you take pride in your work and understand how it contributes to the bigger picture
