Job Description

The Opportunity

Our business is rapidly maturing its data capability and investing in automation-ready infrastructure. We are seeking a Data Analyst to own and grow our Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, delivering a reliable, high-performing reporting environment that supports decision-making across the rail network.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain Microsoft Fabric semantic models, datasets, and analytical views to support enterprise reporting
• Manage the end-to-end publishing lifecycle across Fabric workspaces, including metadata management in OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse, and GitHub
• Develop and optimise DAX measures, calculated columns, and model relationships to enable complex analytics and performance at scale
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across datasets, semantic models, and Power BI artefacts
• Analyse trends, performance, risks, and opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to data governance, metadata definitions, and standards to support a trusted single source of truth.

• Automate and modernise reporting and data processes using Fabric pipelines, Power Platform capabilities, and DevOps practices

About You
We are looking for someone who brings:
• Strong understanding of data architecture and data governance. 
• Experience in managing a complex Power BI Service and Fabric ecosystem.
• Advanced Power BI skills (data modelling, DAX, SQL, performance optimisation)
• Attention to Detail, embracing systems thinking and change control
