Account Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new merchants, SMEs, and enterprise clients while driving revenue growth.
• Promote adoption of digital payment solutions, including cross-border payments, eWallets, Unified QR Pay, and alternative payment methods (APMs).
• Achieve sales targets by increasing transaction volume, merchant acquisition, and customer retention.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, channel partners, and e-commerce platforms.
• Lead merchant onboarding, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure smooth payment integration.
• Provide consultative solutions to merchants to optimize payment acceptance and improve conversion rates.
• Identify new business opportunities through market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights.
• Support regional business expansion by onboarding merchants across multiple markets and currencies.
• Utilize CRM and AI-driven sales tools to manage pipelines, forecast sales performance, and enhance acquisition strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and technology teams to drive merchant growth, improve user experience, and increase transaction success rates.

 Key Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.

· Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales/business development in payment gateway, fintech, or e-commerce.

· Strong track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets in merchant acquisition or payment services.

· Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.

· Solid understanding of payment ecosystems (cards, e-wallets, FPX, BNPL, QRPay, cross-border).

· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and passionate about growing digital payments adoption.

· Highly self-disciplined, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining strong accountability for results.
