Job Description

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage multiple concurrent custom software projects from kick-off through to go-live and post-go-live support.
• Manage ongoing support projects alongside project delivery work.
• Create and maintain project schedules, priorities, resources and delivery plans.
• Coordinate Developers, BAs, QA and other team members to ensure work is progressing as planned.
• Track project progress, risks, blockers, dependencies and resource utilisation, taking action where required.
• Make timely and practical decisions to keep projects moving and resolve delivery challenges.
• Collaborate smoothly with remote, distributed teams, delivering results at a sustainable pace.
• Manage project tickets, including prioritisation, assignment, status tracking and billing updates.
• Coordinate UAT, Production releases and post-go-live support activities.
• Prepare project status reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Support and provide day-to-day guidance to Junior and Associate Project Managers.
• Contribute to improving PM processes, templates and ways of working.
• Use AI tools and automation where appropriate to improve reporting, documentation and day-to-day PM efficiency.

REQUIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

• 46 years’ experience as a Project Manager, preferably within custom software development or IT services.
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong planning, organisation, coordination and follow-up skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working closely with Developers, BAs, AMs and QA teams.
• Comfortable working with remote and distributed teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and keep projects moving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of delivery.
• Ability to support and guide Junior/Associate PMs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Interest in using AI and automation to improve project management efficiency.

NICE TO HAVE

• PMP, PRINCE2, and/or Agile certification (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP).
• Familiarity with web/mobile app architecture, API integrations, and data migration concepts.
• Prior experience mentoring or managing junior PMs or coordinators.
• Exposure to multiple industries or verticals through custom software or consulting delivery
