Responsibilities
Credit Underwriting & Analysis
- Assess customer and supplier credit applications in accordance with established credit policies.
- Review financial statements, bank statements, trade references, and other supporting documentation.
- Analyze payment behavior, industry trends, business models, and operational risks.
- Obtain and review reports from credit bureaus and external rating agencies.
- Recommend appropriate credit limits, payment terms, and credit conditions.
Credit Operations
- Manage the onboarding process for approved customers.
- Coordinate with internal teams for account setup, credit limit activation, and disbursement readiness.
- Monitor credit utilization and ensure compliance with approved terms.
- Process credit limit increases, renewals, temporary limit requests, and amendments.
- Maintain accurate customer records within the credit management system.
Portfolio Monitoring
- Conduct periodic credit reviews to assess changes in customer financial health and risk.
- Monitor overdue accounts and early warning indicators.
- Recommend adjustments to credit limits or payment terms when appropriate.
- Support portfolio quality reviews and concentration risk assessments.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare reports on credit approvals, utilization, portfolio performance, and exceptions.
- Monitor operational KPIs such as turnaround times and approval volumes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit policies, procedures, and controls.
