Your new role

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will act as the primary BA within a scrum team, supporting the delivery of a large-scale Microsoft refresh programme.

You will be responsible for working across the full delivery lifecycle, translating business requirements into backlogs and user stories, and partnering closely with developers, stakeholders, and product teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading requirements gathering and translating into detailed user stories, backlogs, and acceptance criteria
• Supporting the refresh and uplift of Microsoft-based applications (M365, Azure), including internally built systems
• Working in an Agile Scrum environment, actively contributing to ceremonies and sprint delivery
• Managing and maintaining artefacts within Azure DevOps for tracking, prioritisation, and reporting
• Producing high-quality, detailed documentation across functional and technical requirements
• Acting as the bridge between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clarity and alignment
• Supporting testing and QA activities, bringing a strong quality mindset to ensure successful delivery
• Contributing to governance and delivery standards, ensuring scope is clearly defined and managed

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within complex, enterprise environments
• Strong experience working on Microsoft technology programmes, particularly Microsoft 365 and Azure
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps in an Agile delivery environment
• Demonstrated ability to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements
• Strong capability to translate requirements into well-defined backlog items, including user stories and clear acceptance criteria
• Experience collaborating closely with stakeholders and developers to ensure requirements are clear, feasible, and complete
• Strong documentation skills, with the ability to produce high-quality, detailed artefacts
• Experience working closely with developers and technical teams across the full software development lifecycle
• Exposure to application uplift, refresh, or development programmes
• Ability to support testing and QA activities, including defining test scenarios and validating delivered outcomes
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work across multiple business areas
