2D Animator & Character Designer

Job Description

Responsibilities:
Convert written educational scripts into engaging animated scenes
Design and illustrate characters, backgrounds, and visual assets
Create 2D animations for educational video content
Develop storyboards and visual sequences based on learning objectives
Ensure smooth character movement, expressions, and scene transitions
Maintain visual consistency across characters, episodes, and learning modules
Collaborate with the content team to create age-appropriate educational experiences
Deliver high-quality animated videos within project timelines

Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Design, Multimedia, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory)
Experience in 2D animation, character design, illustration, or visual storytelling
Proficiency in animation software
Strong character design and drawing skills
Ability to create storyboards and translate scripts into animated sequences
Good understanding of animation principles, timing, composition, and visual storytelling
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across multiple videos

Preferred Skills:
Experience creating educational, children’s, or explainer video content
Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools and workflows
Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing software
Portfolio showcasing character design and animation work
