About The Role

The Software Engineer II – Front End position is a remote opportunity designed for professionals passionate about developing high-quality user interfaces and front-end solutions. As part of our Federal Civilian business unit, you will work with a diverse team supporting federal agencies such as NASA, GSA, HHS, and others. Your role involves contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of front-end applications that serve critical government functions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and other engineers to deliver features that are both functional and user-friendly. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow technical skills, gain insight into government systems, and make a tangible impact on public service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of engineering experience in front-end development
• Proficiency with relevant technical stacks, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Relevant experience in government contracting or public sector projects is preferred
  

Responsibilities

• Estimate, plan, and execute development tasks including coding, requirements gathering, and analysis with moderate supervision
• Debug, optimize, and maintain front-end applications in test and production environments
• Create and enhance testing, monitoring, instrumentation, analytics, and deployment pipelines
• Participate in on-call rotations to support system reliability and incident response
• Engage in planning sessions to understand system architecture and design patterns
• Contribute to technical discussions, ask questions, and understand system trade-offs and dependencies
• Develop skills in technical and communication domains to support team growth and onboarding
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and efficient delivery of solutions
• Support continuous improvement by learning new technologies and best practices in front-end development
