Your new role

As an SAP Basis Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting the core SAP platform underpinning revenue processing. You will be responsible for maintaining system availability, optimising performance, and ensuring seamless integration with external applications, including Java and .NET platforms. This is a highly visible role supporting a business-critical system, requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to operate in a high-volume, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain availability and stability of the SAP-based RIO platform
• Monitor SAP systems, application servers, and background processes
• Manage and support high-volume batch jobs (reconciliation, tax processing, notice generation)
• Perform performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity optimisation
• Provide L2/L3 incident and problem management support
• Analyse system logs, dumps, and job failures to resolve issues
• Manage transport across DEV, TEST, and PROD environments
• Support integration between SAP and external systems (Java portals, .NET platforms)
• Ensure SAP security, access controls, and audit compliance
• Apply patches, upgrades, and SAP Notes
• Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Support ongoing SAP life cycle and modernisation initiatives
