Job Description

This role requires hands-on technical leadership, deep understanding of utility control center systems, and the ability to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful deployment and operation of ADMS/OMS platforms aligned with business and operational goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end architecture design and implementation of ADMS/OMS solutions including SCADA, DMS, OMS, and enterprise integrations
  • Define system topology, control center configurations, high-availability architecture, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Lead and support implementation of ADMS, OMS, and DERMS solutions including configuration, testing, and go-live support
  • Integrate ADMS/OMS with utility systems such as SCADA, GIS, SAP, SOM, and other enterprise platforms
  • Perform data modeling and data migration from legacy OMS systems to new platforms
  • Configure outage management workflows including job creation, job closure, reporting, prediction rules, and ETR matrices
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and support technical development activities
  • Conduct workshops, validate system designs, and ensure seamless integration with IT/OT environments
  • Oversee system configuration, testing, and commissioning aligned with real-time grid operations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to gather requirements and ensure solution compatibility
  • Develop and execute quality assurance plans to validate system functionality and performance
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, standards, and procedures
  • Ensure implementation of cybersecurity best practices and compliance with industry standards such as NERC CIP
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize system performance
  • Identify and implement enhancements including integration with DERMS and advanced grid technologies

Required Qualifications and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience as an IT Architect with Emerson/AspenTech ADMS/OMS implementations
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Technical Lead
  • In-depth knowledge of Emerson / AspenTech Digital Grid Management (DGM) platform, including Monarch-based systems
  • Strong hands-on experience in ADMS/OMS configuration, data migration, and interface development
  • Proven experience in system integration with SCADA, GIS, SAP, and other utility systems
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices for IoT and cloud-based systems
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Emerson/AspenTech certification (preferred) or equivalent experience as a Delivery Service Provider (DSP) for DGM solutions
