Engineering Supervisor

Job Description

The Engineering Supervisor will play a key role in planning and implementing building refurbishment, site development, and building works. They will also have responsibility for security and biomedical engineering services across both sites, overseeing preventative maintenance programs and reactive works to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant facilities. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support engineering trade staff across multiple East Melbourne sites.
• Manage reactive maintenance (R&M) and preventative maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure operational reliability of building systems and plant.
• Oversee minor capital works, building refurbishment, and site development projects.
• Liaise with internal departments and external contractors to ensure effective and timely service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and workplace safety standards.
• Provide guidance and management for security and biomedical engineering services across both sites.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

Key Selection Criteria

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent trade qualifications.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to deliver practical solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships across teams and with contractors.
• Commitment to safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
