Python/Generative AI Engineer

Role Overview :

As a Python Gen AI – G specialist at Infosys, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing cutting-edge Generative AI solutions for our clients across various industries.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand their needs and translate them into innovative AI-powered applications.

Your work will directly impact the way our clients leverage AI to improve their operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities :

– Design and develop Generative AI models and applications using Python, focusing on NLP tasks such as text generation, summarization, and question answering for diverse client projects.

– Implement and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to enhance the accuracy and relevance of generated content for specific business use cases.

– Collaborate with data scientists to preprocess and analyze large datasets, ensuring data quality and suitability for training Generative AI models for optimal performance.

– Evaluate and fine-tune pre-trained language models, adapting them to specific client requirements and industry standards to deliver tailored AI solutions.

– Deploy and monitor Generative AI models in production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security for seamless integration with existing systems.

– Research and experiment with new Generative AI techniques and technologies, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field to drive innovation within the team.

– Communicate technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, effectively conveying the value and impact of Generative AI solutions to stakeholders.

– Contribute to the development of best practices and guidelines for Generative AI development, ensuring consistency and quality across all projects.

Required Skillset :

– Demonstrated proficiency in Python programming, with a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

– Extensive experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, including text classification, sentiment analysis, and named entity recognition.

– Hands-on experience with Generative AI models, such as GPT, BERT, and Transformer architectures, and their application to real-world problems.

– Solid understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts, including model training, evaluation, and optimization.

– Practical experience in implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to improve the performance of Generative AI models.

– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and present technical information clearly and concisely.

– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
