PHP Developer

Job Description

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join our tech team .

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP development, with hands-on experience in working with scalable web applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and Maintain PHP-Based Applications :

– Write clean, maintainable, and efficient PHP code, utilizing frameworks such as Laravel, Symphony and Lumen (backend microservices).

– Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server- side logic.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams :

– Work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to deliver new features and improvements.

– Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging processes to maintain high code quality.

Tech Stack Management :

– Manage and maintain our tech stack, including PHP, SOLR, Jenkins, and more.

– Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, proposing enhancements to our existing tech stack.

Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues :

– Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.

– Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Must-Have Skills :

1. Strong Proficiency in PHP and Frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, Lumen) :

– Need to be very good with PHP and PHP based frameworks like Laravel, Symfony and Lumen are ideal Lumen is mainly for API / Microservice building

– Should have been working on these for the last 5 years minimum.

– Should be able to showcase strong PHP driven projects.

– Should be proficiency in SQL, SQL Performance optimization,

– Need to be extremely strong in SQL

– Need to be extremely strong in query optimization, building for scale, managing data integrity

3. Experience with Jenkins and Continuous Integration/Deployment :

– Should be very comfortable in setting up CI / CD

4. Strong Security Knowledge in building world class applications

– Should have an understanding on the OWASP Top 10 and how to handle them.

– Should take security seriously

– In their coding know the best practices to implement, like making inputs secure

– Understanding of Data Encryption and how its should be stored to be 100% secure

– Should be building the security on API Development also
