Cloud Engineer

Job Description

The candidate that will succeed in this position will play a key role managing and optimizing complex cloud environments, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS. Reporting to the Cloud Engineering Tech Lead, the candidate will uphold unified infrastructure standards, drive automation initiatives, and contribute to strengthening the overall DevSecOps lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations across GCP, AWS, and on‑premises environments;
• Optimize cloud performance and cost efficiency;
• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with business needs;
• Manage infrastructure deployments using automation tools (Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, etc.);
• Support CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot OS, application, and network issues;
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to deliver well‑architected solutions;
• Deploy and support infrastructure for full‑stack applications;
• Maintain identity and DNS services (Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, Cloudflare);
• Work closely with internal teams and IT providers for application onboarding, operations, and monitoring with Datadog.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
• More than 5 years of experience in cloud engineering;
• Practical experience with core AWS services; AWS certifications are a plus;
• Strong skills with DevOps tools (Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm), scripting (Python, PowerShell) and monitoring (Datadog);
• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows environments;
• Exposure to AI‑assisted engineering workflows is appreciated;
• Familiarity with agentic AI tools for development and operations (e.g., Cursor, Copilot) is a plus;
• Ability to use AI agents for debugging, automation, incident analysis and operational tasks;
• Confidence integrating AI-driven workflows into CI/CD and developer productivity tools;
• Experience managing Apache Kafka and AMQP messaging platforms (RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) in cloud environments is an advantage;
